What does Tata Martino Have in His Plans for Inter Miami in 2024?
The former manager of the Mexican national team was appointed a little bit earlier than Messi’s arrival at Inter Miami. He, also, managed Leo Messi in FC Barcelona but that time was short and he ended up getting fired from the job in under a year.
That was the past. For now, the Argentinian manager is doing okay with Inter Miami. He won the League Cup and had been testing two formations: 4-3-3 and the other one is 3-5-2.
He has a lot of quality in the front with Lionel Messi, his buddy – Luis Suarez, and another Leo with Leo Campana. As for the midfield, he has one of the best defensive midfielders of all time – Sergio Busquets along with Diego Gomez, Gregore, and Benjamin Cremaschi.
The problem lies in the back. He has good wingbacks at his disposal but not the full-backs. As we have seen with Alba, making dreadful errors when it comes to the defense. The center-back positions are also somewhat lacking with not enough depth.
But still, I believe that they(the inter Miami) can perform well because of the supreme quality in the final third of the pitch. Lionel Messi and Suarez’s link-up play is amazing and both have one of the most lethal finishing. One can question their athleticism but apart from that they can prove to be game-changers for the club in South Florida when together.
